One week left for preparations!

Wait a minute! It's going a little too fast here. Ok we were gone the 1st of advent but then it is Lucia and 3rd of advent already. And missing my little Lucia, this must have been 25 years ago!

These shells were all alive! Or there were animals inside anyway! And this guy is why I'm sticking to the pool!

Sitting around a pool is not really my thing I've discovered. In the water, swim and/or water aerobics and then out again. Down the beach for a walk and the things you see! I think this is a shark!?

Advent 2013

There is just one week left to the first of Advent. Some outside lights up.  Our first Thanksgiving dinner was yesterday. Hoping for one more on Thursday! New adventsljusstake made.

Today is fall, windy and rainy....

Have to show latest heart.  Now to figure out if it will be a table or what?

Last day of September

Well, I had promised myself to increase the number of entries this month and instead I have done fewer. Oh well. I haven't done as much work in concrete as I would have liked. And projects I have started are harder and take more time. But a few things I can find and take pictures!

Wonderful summer weather ! Off and at Vätö, doesn't get better than this!  Projects to do and playing outside, in that order. 

Work tables.  Working on windowsills. I thought it would be easy, ha! 

Sunflowers pretty much died, there was a real dry spell when we were gone.

6th of August 2011. What a day! What a week! Loving the memories of  Em and Seb 's wedding

So now 2 years later the kids are living in NYC and who knows when we will all meet again on Öland. But that great feeling of love is still there!

Summer in the midwest!

Just a couple a pictures of some summer vacation while I take a break from my sweaty workshop. With an ice tea and some shade!

Vacation!!

Finally vacation and I'm at Vätö and it is too windy to paddle and too cold to swim.......so I head into my playhouse and start playing. (Or workshop but then I would be working...) 

And a couple of stepping stones. Beach theme in Scandinavia ?

And mosaic added. Not quite right. Will have to do over, I do not have enough patience to do mosaic I'm afraid but learning....(add to the courses I'm planning to take this fall) 

Not too bad for first week of vacation but now even too cold to work outside!

Finally we had rain today. Much needed. Of course it was a little bad timing as it was my only day off this week, but still the flowers were really drying out. Errands to do; haircut, food shopping, training, flowers to AR.  

1st July

Oh Canada! Used to go to Toronto (center island) for kayak races. Miss having the summers off(well they weren't really off since we trained our butts off!). After Another tough day at work with lots of  cranky people it is nice to come home and inspect the garden. Eat a couple of strawberries. Look at the funny flowers. What am I going to do with these things?!

Another little table. Nice to have next to "Baden Baden" or solsängen. Just enough space for a cup of tea or glass of lemonade and a book!

June blooms

This garden time of year. After dinner went out and picked some strawberries and did a little "deadheading". So peaceful. Sometimes very neglectful of Vaxmora, so busy going to Vätö. Definitely needs some weeding but M mowed today.

Commuting to work from Vätö I took 2 pictures on the way. Now off a couple more days-enjoying it!! Read one book and worked on concrete projects to be shown next time!

Magic!

This time of the year is just pure magic! Driving home from work tonight around 10, the sun was starting to go down and the light was fantastic. Then I saw 5 hot air balloons floating in that sunlight. Sweden is wonderful this time of the year!
