I want more summer!!

Yes today is a beautiful day! So I shouldn't complain but it was freezing this morning, I had to get up at 6 and close the window- it was that cold. And all I think about is the fall coming gray and dark and then winter all wet and cold and slippery. No, don't think! Look back at summer pictures and smile.

Still Summer!

Yes, the weather is still warm so we can say that is summer but it is getting darker!
My mom complained that I wasn't updateing my blog enough, and true even Emily has been "blogging"...tired of the cake picture? Look at David's apple pie! That inspired me to bake my own which in the oven now or you would have a picture. But ok, I can't lie, it's apple crisp, I'm too lazy to roll out a pie crust!



But there are other things in life then concrete and cakes and pies! This is the only printable picture from "kräftskivan"! Silly "the end of the summer" party where everyone eats crawfish and drinks too much! I won't publish the other pictures on line, I mean they know where I live! A real good time.

Can't promise that we always will have such wonderful deserts! But we use a lot of energy stiring up our concrete and that cake was absolutely fantastic!

Högmarsö

On my one day off this week I chose to spend with my co-workers! I had to check out the concrete stuff that Sjöbodens butik is selling(mine!)



We were very hungry when we got there and had a great lunch at Sjöbodens cafe.



The sun came out for our visit to Högmarsö cafe and butik. Here´s the whole gang. Catherine's husband Mats, took time to shuttle us over to their island and we all inspected and took our own pictures of their lovely home just now featured in "Allt i Hemment" And then back to Annika and Lena's "stuga" for wine on their deck.

A bird bath top made by my niece Helena. We'll put the parts together next weekend.



And the rest of the birdbath, foot and column that are curing in water, alot easier than hosing down now and then.


Well, starting to get my "studio" at Vätö fixed up. The covering with stones project will probably take forever but it's the planning that is the most fun anyway! The myggs aren't nearly as bad as the deerflys. I had 4 days off and it just made me want to stay there all summer. But back to work.........
