Vätö vacation 2010

Finally I have vacation and direct out to Vätö! Pretty wasted as the weather is warm- like the good old midwest summers that I grew up with. Too hot to do anything but swim!

Mitt rosbord finns i Amelia sommar tidningen! ok, it said it was of cement not concrete or "betong" and the price was wrong but really neat that it was there!
Catherine is so creative in fixing things up. Hon dukar såååå fint!(mom; she really sets a nice table!)



Now I am inspired to get going on some new projects!(my problem is once I have made something once or twice, I don't want to do it anymore!) But first is to get ready for Williams studenten! Cleaning and baking on my list!

Well, now it's been so long that I almost forgot how to log in!So much going on as always this time of the year! This week is SVK klubbfest and next week is Williams graduation, and then the week after is Emily's. Trying to get the garden here at home presentable along with projects out at Vätö. And trying to get things ready to take to Högmarsö. And some orders coming in for bird bathes, etc! And normal work of course last on my list! The sign is for Stenes Änglar, kläd och inrednings butik at Högmarsö.






The hearts are to rest your eyes while waiting for the flowers to come up, my neighbor gave me "blommor för dagen"-morning glory? My orginal idea was to go with much bigger rebar but I couldn't get it in the car. Plus this being even less than half the height, it is very instable, not good as planned to use around our outside shower!

Spring cleaning?

What is this? Spring cleaning? a yard sale? No, this is a planning day for us. And this is just SOME of the stuff that we are going to use for our course next week at Herresta Lada. This is not a craft for the weak! Not only are the bags of concrete mix 25 kilos a piece, it also is very messy! And messy it is even before and after the "gooey" part of mixing.





Finally we have some spring like weather, sunny and warmish. Tho, that will change tonight as Valborgsmässafton is always cold, windy, and rainy! Happy Spring!

Spring?

I know it has been a month since my last entry! Sorry! But things have been crazy around here, first with volleyball and then with work. Now if I could just have some nice spring weather on the days that I'm off, I'll be happy. The last time I had 2 days off it was snow mixed with rain -not at all good for mixing concrete!!
So I will put in a picture of a little table that I made year.


Maybe the this week we will start to see some green buds coming, thank heavens for snowdrops and crocuses!

I love the way the sun comes through in this old barn! I wonder where all our stuff is? Did I take my stuff to Högmarsö or Vätö? Did Agneta take hers to Skåne? Or is it still there? Spring is the time to get organized and we are in the process of planning new courses and finding our stuff! Good snow melt today,+6 and a drizzle and now I am finding stuff in my yard!


Happy Spring and we change time tonight!One hour less sleep but oh, how light it will be tmw night!
